Abstract
The skin has always been a highly studied area in dentistry due to its histological composition, its physiology and the pathologies that affect it, due to its proximity of origin, the three germ layers, to the oral cavity. However, its treatment and conservation has always been restricted to the area of maxillofacial surgery and the fields of aesthetic medicine. In recent decades, facial harmonization procedures have occupied a large segment of dentistry worldwide, making knowledge about the skin and its regeneration mandatory, since it is the orthodontist, the rehabilitator and the aesthetic dentist who works with harmony. and facial proportions. The term facial rejuvenation refers to many procedures designed to improve the appearance of the face, including skin regeneration through what is now called Biological Dentistry.Hence, several procedures have been proposed for the bio-stimulation of skin regeneration, with the objective of the neoformation of collagen, elastin, hydration and maintenance of tissue perfusion, obtaining important results. This conference will address biological bio-stimulant therapies such as the use of growth factors derived from platelets, with the aim of providing the patient with a better appearance and facial harmony.
